Which Nintendo Switch 2 games are arriving next, and which ones still have no exact release date? Nintendo’s November 5, 2026 financial report provides a clearer picture of the months ahead. Rather than mixing announced titles with games already on sale, this calendar separates upcoming releases, confirmed launch windows and recent arrivals.

The schedule comes from Nintendo’s official second-quarter financial results. It covers the company’s listed software releases from October 2026 onward, including several titles planned for 2027.

Nintendo Switch 2 has eight upcoming games with different release windows

As of November 6, 2026, eight upcoming games remain on Nintendo’s published Switch 2 schedule. Four have exact launch dates, while four are assigned broader windows. Here is the complete list in chronological order.

  • November 12, 2026 — Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy. The next scheduled release combines the Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 4 with the named Dandori Academy addition. Existing Switch owners have an upgrade-pack option.
  • December 3, 2026 — Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. This edition closes the listed 2026 calendar. Owners of the original Switch version can purchase an upgrade pack.
  • January 28, 2027 — Metroid Ravenous. The first game with a specific 2027 date on Nintendo’s schedule.
  • February 25, 2027 — Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition. Nintendo confirms the date and notes that the title is licensed for release and sale as a Nintendo product outside Japan.
  • Spring 2027 — Kirby and the World Beyond. A seasonal release window is confirmed, but Nintendo has not specified a day or month.
  • 2027 — Pokémon Winds. Listed for 2027 without a narrower release window.
  • 2027 — Pokémon Waves. Shares the same year-only window as Pokémon Winds, with no confirmed order between the two.
  • 2027 — Xenoblade Genesis. Another confirmed entry in the schedule, although its exact launch date remains unspecified.

Four titles have precise dates, Kirby has a seasonal window, and the remaining three have only a year. Consequently, the entries without exact dates should not be treated as having a confirmed launch order.

Nintendo Switch 2 has already received three games from this schedule

Three games also appear in the report’s October-onward schedule, but they are already available as of November 6. Keeping them separate prevents past launches from being mistaken for future releases.

  • October 1, 2026 — Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. This is the physical release date. Its digital edition launched earlier, on July 30, 2026, and owners of the original Switch version can buy an upgrade pack.
  • October 22, 2026 — Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Already released before the November financial presentation.
  • November 5, 2026 — The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Released on the same day as Nintendo’s report.

For more on the latest Zelda release, Battle4Play has also covered the English voice cast of Ocarina of Time.

Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade packs offer another option for existing owners

Not every Switch 2 Edition requires existing players to approach it as an entirely separate purchase. Nintendo specifically confirms paid upgrade-pack eligibility for owners of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pikmin 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on the original Switch.

Both physical and digital owners qualify for the stated upgrade route. However, the financial document does not provide upgrade-pack prices, so those costs should not be assumed from this schedule.

This release calendar also sits alongside a growing console audience. Battle4Play’s coverage of Nintendo Switch 2 reaching 26.35 million units sold provides the wider business context behind the upcoming software lineup.

The original Switch has a much shorter schedule in this financial report

The original Nintendo Switch receives only two entries in the report’s October-onward selection: Hello, Luigi! and Hello, Peach!. Both launched on October 5, 2026, as free download-only titles.

This does not establish that no other Switch games will arrive. It simply reflects the limited selection included in Nintendo’s published schedule of primary products.

Finally, Nintendo warns that release dates and titles may change, while regional launch dates can differ. For anyone planning their next Nintendo Switch 2 purchases, the November and December releases are the immediate dates to remember. Beyond February 2027, several titles still need more precise launch information.
