Principles
Battle4play reports independently, accurately and transparently. Our goal is that readers always know what happened, how we know it and when it was published or updated.
Sources and verification
We work from primary sources: official announcements, developer and publisher statements, patch notes, public statements and our own hands-on time with the games. When a story comes from another outlet or from a leak, we say so and link to the original source. We do not publish rumours without labelling them, and we clearly distinguish between confirmed information, leaks and speculation.
In guides and code round-ups we personally check that codes and steps work at the time of publication and state the date of the last check.
Updates and corrections
Articles show their publication date and, when they change substantially, the date of the last update. If we make a mistake we correct it in the article itself and, when the error affects the meaning of the story, we add a visible correction note. You can report errors at [newsroom email] or through the contact form; we review every report.
Use of artificial intelligence
Battle4play’s articles are written and reviewed by people. We use AI tools as support for specific tasks (for example, to generate illustrative images when no official material is available, or to assist with the English translation). Every AI-generated image is labelled as such under the image, and translations are reviewed before publication. We do not use AI to write news automatically or to invent quotes, data or sources.
Independence and advertising
Advertising and affiliate links are kept separate from editorial content and do not influence what we publish or how we rate a game. Review copies provided by publishers are disclosed in the review itself. Review scores are the sole responsibility of the author.
Authorship
Every article is signed by its author, with a link to their profile page listing their background and public profiles. The byline identifies who wrote and verified the content.
Rights and intellectual property
Game images, cover art and promotional material belong to their respective owners and are used for news reporting purposes. If you own content and believe it is being used incorrectly, write to admin@battle4play.com and we will review it.
