Barbie’s perfectly polished world is about to face an unusually dirty makeover. The PowerWash Simulator 2 Barbie DLC transforms familiar Malibu playsets into oversized cleaning challenges, where restoring every tiny plastic detail becomes the main attraction. Better still, FuturLab has confirmed exactly when players can get started.
Why Barbie’s Malibu is a perfect fit for pressure washing
Most cleaning jobs in PowerWash Simulator involve removing dirt from everyday objects and environments. However, Barbie’s colorful universe offers a different visual reward. Instead of uncovering ordinary surfaces, players will gradually reveal bright pink accessories, miniature furniture and recognizable toys beneath layers of grime.
The expansion introduces five new levels inspired by Barbie’s Malibu lifestyle. Among the featured attractions is the DreamHouse, complete with an elevator players can experience from a doll’s perspective. Meanwhile, the Dream Camper brings its campsite and campfire into the cleaning routine.
There is more than one way to enjoy the California sunshine. The Dream Boat, associated with beach parties, and Barbie’s unmistakable pink convertible also feature in the adventure. Each setting gives FuturLab an opportunity to play with different shapes, surfaces and awkward corners.
That variety matters because the satisfaction of PowerWash Simulator comes from watching a messy object slowly regain its original appearance. In this case, Barbie’s toy-like environments make that transformation especially noticeable.
PowerWash Simulator 2 Barbie DLC adds themed equipment
Barbie isn’t simply lending her name to a collection of levels. FuturLab has created a version of the character who specializes in pressure washing, complete with a new work outfit and tools designed around her distinctive style.
Alongside the themed washer and attachments, players can use an abseiling kit and a scissor lift to reach difficult areas. These tools should prove particularly useful when cleaning taller structures or tackling dirt hidden around elaborate playsets.
Of course, the familiar gameplay remains intact. Players direct a high-pressure stream of water at muddy surfaces, carefully removing stains until the underlying plastic looks spotless. The challenge is not about fighting enemies or racing against opponents. Instead, progress comes from patience, precision and finding every stubborn patch of dirt.
Friends can join the cleanup too. The expansion supports two-player split-screen cooperation, while Free Play accommodates up to four players. Consequently, the Malibu locations can become shared cleaning projects rather than exclusively solo assignments.
A December release continues FuturLab’s crossover strategy
The Barbie Pack arrives on December 3, 2026, priced at $7.99, €7.99 or £6.50. It is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. FuturLab has also revealed a new trailer showcasing the collaboration.
PowerWash Simulator 2 originally launched on October 23, 2025. Since then, its post-launch content has included collaborations with Adventure Time and Star Wars. The first game also established a strong crossover tradition through licensed packs featuring Tomb Raider, Back to the Future, SpongeBob SquarePants and Final Fantasy VII.
That history helps explain why Barbie feels like a natural addition. These partnerships work best when their settings provide interesting objects to clean, rather than relying entirely on recognizable branding. Barbie’s detailed playsets offer exactly that kind of material.
For another relaxing take on everyday cleanup, Battle4Play has also covered Leaf Blower Co.’s cleaning simulation on PS5 and Xbox. For official details and wishlisting, visit the Barbie Pack Steam page.
Ultimately, the PowerWash Simulator 2 Barbie DLC has an appealing idea at its center: turning beloved childhood toys into surprisingly elaborate cleaning puzzles. Whether five Malibu jobs justify another purchase will depend on how inventive those environments feel once the water starts flowing.
