After spending more than three years away from television, Ted Lasso is finally making its long-awaited return. Apple TV+ has confirmed that the award-winning comedy will debut its fourth season in early August, bringing back Jason Sudeikis and the familiar faces of AFC Richmond for another chapter.
Instead of releasing the entire season at once, Apple will once again adopt a weekly schedule, allowing fans to follow the story over the course of two months before the finale arrives in October.

Ted Lasso Season 4 premieres on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, exclusively on Apple TV+. New episodes will continue to arrive every Wednesday until the season finale on October 7.
Although Apple has not officially confirmed an early launch, several recent Apple TV+ productions have become available on Tuesday evenings in North America due to time zone differences. If the platform follows the same strategy, viewers in some regions could gain access a few hours ahead of the official release date.
The new season marks the series’ first new episodes since May 2023, when Ted returned to Kansas following AFC Richmond’s successful campaign. Season 4 brings him back to England with an entirely different challenge.

What to Expect From the New Season
Rather than continuing exactly where the previous finale ended, Season 4 introduces a fresh direction for the series. Ted returns to Richmond to coach a women’s football team, opening a completely new chapter while reuniting many of the show’s best-known characters.
The confirmed cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, with Apple gradually revealing additional details ahead of the premiere.
The first four episode titles also hint at a mixture of emotional storytelling and comedy, while runtimes currently appear shorter than many of Season 3’s feature-length episodes.
