While exploring the surreal fantasy region of Prismeria in High on Life 2, players eventually encounter an iron gate blocking access to an execution platform where Bowie, a bow-shaped Gatlian, is being held. The guard nearby explains that the mechanism controlling the gate has malfunctioned, leaving you to solve the environmental puzzle yourself.
Opening the jammed gate requires using Sheath’s charged Trick Shot ability to connect a sequence of amplifiers. Although the first amplifier is easy to spot, properly aligning the chain is what makes this puzzle challenging.
Look above the gate to find a blue amplifier. To power it, use Sheath’s charged spike Trick Shot. Your first connection target is a small building across from the gate with a smoking chimney at the top.
Once connected, the puzzle becomes more complex, as the next amplifiers are not correctly aligned.
Near the gate, you will find a large “Cool S” statue. This structure contains two amplifiers, but they cannot link properly until you reposition part of it.
Shoot the lower third of the statue to shift its alignment. Make sure you stand so that the statue is positioned between you and the gate. Once correctly arranged, you can link both amplifiers embedded within the statue.
To complete the circuit, head to the staircase located to the right of the gate. At the top, you’ll see a pile of yellow rocks. Shoot these rocks to expose a concealed amplifier behind them.
With the hidden amplifier revealed, connect the amplifier near the gate to this newly exposed node. Finally, link it back to the gate mechanism to restore power and unlock the entrance.
Before leaving the area, consider entering the building near the staircase. Inside, you can unlock the Brain Drain upgrade for Creature, which reduces the cooldown of his mind-control ability. Completing a small puzzle involving laser gates will grant access to this upgrade.
Once the final connection is made, the gate opens and you can proceed to rescue Bowie.
